The route has been designed to encourage people to get out and ride. Starting at the Del La Warr pavilion the ride makes it way out to the Greenway by Combe Valley Way and back through Sidley to the sea front. This course gets the family out to the countryside for fitness and fun! We have designed the ride to be on cycle paths as much as possible. But there are a few roads that will need to be crossed – (you can get off and walk these bits if you prefer).

The course was created for the 1066 cycling festival, which has been postponed this year. Details of the route, a map and GPX files can be found in the link below. The ride is 10 miles long (but you can cut off halfway round if you wish)- as there are Short and Long loops. The loop is designed for Children - Yrs 6 to 8 (in- between primary and secondary school ) but can be great for anyone especially families. Utilising existing cycling paths and quiet roads, this course is excellent for cyclists learning the highway code. The local council and cycle groups found the route so popular it has now been way marked on the path to make it easy to navigate.
